Discover the best forms of movement for your body, empowering you to build the strength, stamina and confidence to enjoy your long, active life.

Is your body stuggling?

Is your body struggling to keep up with you?

Do you have new, old or chronic discomfort, keeping you from doing your favorite things?
  • Maybe you’ve completed physical therapy for an injury or surgery and want to keep those gains, or get even stronger.
  • Maybe you want to play with your grandkids or work in the garden without “throwing your back out” or tweaking a knee or a hip.
  • Maybe you have a big physical goal — an active vacation or a pickleball tournament.

Your body needs a new approach.

In the past, you might have gone to the gym, taken up jogging or joined an exercise class.

But your body is changing.

Whether recovering from injury, illness, stress, pain, medical procedures or plain ol’ aging,
your body needs new ways of doing things.

Hi, I’m Susan.

I’m a human movement specialist who uses movement instruction, education and manual bodywork, to help people in maturing bodies move more easily, so they can enjoy their favorite activities — whatever those are.

Together we restore and build what your body needs most –  whether that’s strength, flexibility, balance, stamina, coordination or all the above.

Plus, you’ll learn to maintain it on your own, as if you have a customized owner’s manual for your changing body.

Find your next move.

Every body I’ve encountered feels better after finding the right movement for them. Some are even surprised to find how easy it is.

With ever-increasing numbers of people living longer, it should be easier for maturing bodies to find the guidance, instruction, and support they need to live a vibrant life.

I help you understand, befriend and train your changing body to keep up with you, while you do your favorite things, for as long as you want to do them.

If you’re having discomfort or difficulty moving as much as you’d like, your body is trying to tell you something.

With the wisdom of maturity, enlist a professional with the knowledge to work skillfully with your body, at your stage of life, to achieve your goals.

Susan understands how to work with folks at my age, and works hard to understand my personal issues and what I want to accomplish. She brings variety to our sessions and always has her eye on supporting my long-term goals. She explains things well and educates me on how to take care of my own body, including recommending other resources that might help. I’m so much more confident in what to do for myself going forward.
